Unifi, Central Pacific Financial Set to Join the SmallCap 600

NEW YORK, Dec. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P Dow Jones Indices will make the following changes to the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Wednesday, December 31:

  • Unifi Inc. (NYSE: UFI) will replace SWS Group Inc. (NYSE: SWS). Hilltop Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HTH) is acquiring SWS Group in a deal expected to be completed on or about December 31, pending final conditions.
  • Central Pacific Financial Corp. (NYSE: CPF) will replace TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. (NASD: TQNT). S&P MidCap 400 constituent RF Micro Devices Inc. (NASD: RFMD) is acquiring TriQuint Semiconductor in a deal expected to be completed on or about December 31, pending final conditions.

Unifi manufactures and sells polyester and nylon yarn products.  Headquartered in Greensboro, NC, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Textiles Sub-Industry index.

Central Pacific Financial provides commercial banking services. Headquartered in Honolulu, HI, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 Regional Banks Sub-Industry index.
