F.N.B. Set to Join the S&P MidCap 400; Rent-A-Center, Surgical Care Affiliates to Join S&P SmallCap 600

NEW YORK, Feb. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P Dow Jones Indices will make the following changes to the S&P MidCap 400 and S&P SmallCap 600 indices:

  • S&P SmallCap 600 constituent F.N.B. Corp. (NYSE: FNB) will replace Rent-A-Center Inc. (NASD: RCII) in the S&P MidCap 400, and Rent-A-Center will replace F.N.B in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Friday, February 12. F.N.B. is acquiring Metro Bancorp Inc. (NASD: METR) in a deal expected to be completed on or about that date pending final approvals. Post merger, F.N.B. will have a market capitalization that is more representative of the mid-cap market space. Rent-A-Center is ranked near the bottom of the S&P MidCap 400 and has a market capitalization that is more representative of the small-cap market space.
  • Surgical Care Affiliates Inc. (NASD: SCAI) will replace Constant Contact Inc. (NASD: CTCT) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Thursday, February 11. Endurance International Group Holdings Inc. (NASD: EIGI) is acquiring Constant Contact in a deal that was completed today.

F.N.B. is a diversified financial services company. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, the company will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Regional Banks Sub-Industry index.

Rent-A-Center leases household durable goods to customers on a rent-to-own basis. Headquartered in Plano, TX, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Computer & Electronics Retail Sub-Industry index.

Surgical Care Affiliates owns and operates a network of multi-specialty ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals. Headquartered in Deerfield, IL, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Health Care Facilities Sub-Industry index.
