S&P Global Appoints Krishna Nathan as Chief Information Officer

NEW YORK, May 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI) today announced that Krishna Nathan has joined the Company as Chief Information Officer.  He will report to Douglas L. Peterson, President and CEO of S&P Global and serve on the Company's Executive Committee.

Dr. Nathan will be responsible for establishing and executing an enterprise-wide technology and data roadmap to accelerate the Company's growth and enhance its business performance. 

Previously, Dr. Nathan served as Vice President of Systems at IBM Research, where he led the development and execution of research strategies across multiple areas such as next generation data centers, cognitive systems design, and security.  He began his career at IBM in 1991 at the T.J. Watson Research Center, and went on to hold a range of leadership positions in the U.S. and Europe.

Dr. Nathan holds a Ph.D. in engineering from Brown University and a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
