Sanderson Farms Set to Join S&P MidCap 400; Third Point Reinsurance to Join S&P SmallCap 600

NEW YORK, Sept. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P SmallCap 600 constituent Sanderson Farms Inc. (NASD: SAFM) will replace Cabela's Inc. (NYSE: CAB) in the S&P MidCap 400, and Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. (NYSE: TPRE) will replace Sanderson Farms in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective prior to the open on Tuesday, September 26. Bass Pro Shops is acquiring Cabela's in a deal expected to be completed on or about that date pending final conditions.

Sanderson Farms produces, processes, markets, and distributes fresh, frozen, and prepared chicken products. Headquartered in Laurel, MS, the company will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Packaged Foods & Meats Sub-Industry index.

Third Point Reinsurance provides specialty property and casualty reinsurance products to insurance and reinsurance companies. Headquartered in Pembroke, Bermuda, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Reinsurance Sub-Industry index.
