S&P Capital IQ Adds Equity Veterans in New York and London

NEW YORK, Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P Capital IQ, a business line of The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP) offering global multi-asset class data solutions, market research and portfolio risk analytics to global investors, today announced the hiring of a Director of Research Operations in London, two equity analysts in London and two equity analysts in New York. 

Roger Hirst has joined the London office as a Vice President and Director of European Equity Research Operations.  He has over 25 years of experience in equity research, including leadership positions at Bear Stearns, Dresdner Bank/Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, and Schroder Securities.  He is a graduate of the University of Oxford.

William Mack, CFA, an 18-year veteran equity analyst, has returned to S&P Capital IQ as a consumer products analyst in London.  He was previously with S&P Capital IQ for four years ending in 2007.  He was most recently a portfolio manager/analyst at Bank of Butterfield in the Cayman Islands.  Previously, he was in the equity departments at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Value Line.  He is a graduate of Indiana University and has an MBA from Tulane University.

Roderick Wallace, CFA, has joined S&P Capital IQ as the equity insurance analyst in the London office.  He was most recently a senior analyst at Brown Vanneck Partners, and was previously in the equity departments at Barclays Wealth and Gerrard Investment Management.  He is a graduate of Winchester College and Edinburgh University. 

In New York, Barbara Coffey and David Lewis, CPA, have joined S&P Capital IQ as software and consumer products (advertising and publishing) equity analysts, respectively.  Ms. Coffey, with over 25 years of financial services experience, has held positions in the equity departments at Jefferies & Company, Banc of America Securities/Deutsche Banc Securities, BT Alex. Brown, and Merrill Lynch.  She is a graduate of Wellesley College and has an MBA from Duke University.  Mr. Lewis, most recently an Equity Research Vice President at JP Morgan, has 13 years of financial services experience.  He began his career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers.  He is a graduate of Georgetown University and has an MBA from New York University.
