Impax Laboratories and Tangoe Set to Join S&P SmallCap 600

NEW YORK, May 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P Dow Jones Indices will make the following changes to the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Friday, May 31:

  • Impax Laboratories Inc. (NASD: IPXL) will replace Cymer Inc. (NASD: CYMI). ASML Holding NV is acquiring Cymer in a deal expected to be completed on or about that date pending final approvals.
  • Tangoe Inc. (NASD: TNGO) will replace Hot Topic Inc. (NASD: HOTT). Private equity firm Sycamore Partners is acquiring Hot Topic in a deal expected to be completed soon, pending final approvals.

Impax Laboratories is a specialty pharmaceutical company. Headquartered in Hayward, CA, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Pharmaceuticals Sub-Industry index.

Tangoe Inc. provides communications lifecycle management software and services. Headquartered in Orange, CT, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Application Software Sub-Industry index.
