Press Releases
NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI) today announced that it has received a perfect score of 100 on the 2017 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
S&P Global's Chief Diversity Officer, Rose Lanard, commented on this outstanding recognition: "S&P Global is very proud to be a strong advocate for advancing LGBT rights in the workplace and we're deeply honored to receive a perfect score of 100 on the CEI for the second consecutive year. Each year we elevate our programs and policies because the HRC raises the bar on companies that apply, ensuring that they are in the forefront on LGBT rights. External recognition like this is meaningful on so many levels — most importantly, it spotlights our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and a workplace where all of our employees can be themselves, be fully supported, and bring their best to work each day."
The 2017 CEI rated 1,043 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, and inclusive health care benefits. S&P Global joins the ranks of over 500 U.S. businesses which also earned top marks.
